Kristina L. Cunningham

Kristina L. Cunningham is an associate at Ballard & Littlefield, LLP.  Since joining the firm in December of 2009, Ms. Cunningham has assisted in securities-related litigation, arbitration, regulatory matters, and appeals involving a wide range of issues including unfair competition, fraud, breach of contract, and securities claims.  She has also been involved in employment related matters, including disputes over non-compete and non-solicitation agreements, garden leave provisions, unfair competition, raiding, and constructive discharge.  Ms. Cunningham also has handled garnishments, interpleaders, third party subpoena requests, and consular matters. 

Ms. Cunningham has previous experience in bankruptcy and creditor rights.  Before transitioning to civil litigation, she gained valuable first-chair trial experience as a criminal defense attorney, obtaining acquittals for the majority of her clients.  Ms. Cunningham worked with several criminal defense firms in Houston and, prior to that, the San Diego County Office of the Public Defender. 

Ms. Cunningham is a 2006 graduate of the University of Houston Law Center and was admitted to the Texas Bar in 2007.  She graduated Cum Laude with a degree in Communication from the University of St. Thomas in 2003.  At both the University of Houston Law Center and the University of St. Thomas, Ms. Cunningham worked with the Texas Innocence Network on a variety of appellate and habeas cases, including the exoneration of Anthony Graves. Ms. Cunningham is a member of the State Bar of Texas and the Association of Women Attorneys.
