Martha F. McDugald

Martha McDugald, an associate at Ballard & Littlefield, LLP, has worked extensively on securities related arbitration and litigation, regulatory matters, and appeals.  Ms. McDugald has successfully defended securities broker dealers in a number of cases involving a wide variety of issues including investment suitability and securities fraud.  She also has extensive experience in securities industry employment disputes and regulatory matters. Ms. McDugald joined Ballard & Littlefield, LLP in 2003, and prior to that time practiced primarily in the areas of bankruptcy law and bankruptcy-related litigation as an associate at Andrews & Kurth, L.L.P., Mayor, Day, Caldwell & Keeton, L.L.P. and Hutcheson & Grundy, L.L.P.

Martha was born in San Diego, California. She received her B.S. in speech communication, with honors, from the University of Texas at Austin, and a J.D. from South Texas College of Law in 1986. Martha is a member of the State Bar of Texas, and is licensed to practice before the United States District Courts for the Southern and Western Districts of Texas.
